Chais

Derived from the Chinese word, cha - chai means tea in many different language, we are just not sure how many besides Hindi and Russian.

So if you are ever in Russia or India and order a chai, don't be surprised if you just get a cup of black tea.

What we call chai is really masala chai, a blend of black tea and spices.

If you are hankering for a masala chai latte, steep half milk (or soy), half water on the stove top with a few teaspoons of chai and a sweetner, let it simmer and then steep for as long as you can stand, strain out the leaves and enjoy. A real masala chai latte.

You'll never order a Starbucks chai latte again!
